Flight acquired
Mar. 19th, 2012 11:36 amDecided to take the Pacific route. $725 in actual flight costs...$925 in taxes and fees. 0_o Still cheap. Not like flying business class on Emirates.
So I'm flying to Singapore and then on to Bangalore via Singapore Airlines. Saying it aloud, I feel as though I just chose destinations with -ore for $200 on Jeopardy. But the flights were the right times and I find I've always wanted to see Singapore, even the airport. I also have short layovers in Hong Kong (going) and Seoul(way back), but not quite the nine hours I'll have in Singapore.
And I intend to make the most of it. Apparently I'll be in Terminal 2, with the Orchid Garden and half a dozen places where the food is appetizing. I'll also be able to take one of two free tours offered through the airport.
Vijay, my co-worker who's actually been to Singapore and done something similar, was laughing at me about taking a prescribed tour and not striking out on my own. He's completely right that it would be more fun but I might have too much fun and miss my flight. Don't want to do that. Or fall asleep someplace.
