Boys are home
Jul. 25th, 2012 08:10 amIf there was one thing I missed it was the noise. The happy Jedi-cowboy sounds that come bounding down the stairs on a July morning are quite addictive. It was cleaner, quieter, and quite frankly duller than anticipated to have them gone for a week.
It was however nice to get out with Jim and forget about being terribly responsible. With just James, we could eat at Zeni's and go for long walks and talk about whatever was on our minds. Jim tries to do this with the boys around, and I discourage it. Nothing is quite so distressing to a 10 year old as to not be able to repeat EVERYTHING he hears, and Sean also picks up quite a bit.
So it was nice just to hold James and rest in the evenings. But it was too quiet.
