School shopping blues
Jul. 13th, 2012 03:22 pmNot too thrilled about buying the boys' school clothes. This has to do with the fact that Sean, like his Dad, forgets anything not electronic. At first I thought it was his fault that his lunchbox with his NAME on it was stolen. Then I found it in the lost and found with another kid's half-eaten lunch in it. I reclaimed it, re-wrote the name and voila! Next week, it was missing again. Some kid was taking it.
They also took his sweatshirt, his orange long-sleeve shirt and a hoodie.
This year everything is getting his name sewn in. I don't begrudge other kids a warm existence (sometimes thieving is the only way to survive winter with some parents) but the lunchbox was crossing the line. There was no need for the lunchbox.
And before you ask if it was another Sean in his Kindergarten class who was just confused, he was the only Sean in his entire class. Sean attends school with Emikos and Rauls and the occasional Emile, but he was the only Sean in his year.
